About Tim Furniss
This is not an ordinary web site... this is Spaceport.
Spaceport is based around the story of a 12-year old British 'space nut' who was fired up by Gagarin¹s spaceflight on 12 April 1961 and who went on to become an international space journalist, author, broadcaster, lecturer and presenter of a personal story of space for theatres.
Spaceport illustrates Tim¹s unique and enthusiastic style of reporting and presenting the history and present-day world of spaceflight and includes 'Tim¹s Space Diary', a daily space diary. Tim does not act as a PR for space companies and agencies but believes in taking an objective look at the business.
The site also includes an opportunity to read Tim¹s ebook relating to his reporting of the story of the Challenger accident between 1986 and 1997. Two printed autobiographies covering the space age in 1948-1989 and 1990-1999 will be available soon.
Other offerings on Spaceport, include the sale of autographs, momentos, copies of historical space press kits, such as Apollo 11 and other items.
Spaceport is not afraid to be controversial and takes an objective view of the evolution-Big Bang-creation debate, which should be discussed in a sober way rather than the one-sided, subjective evolution - Big Bang hysterics we read in the papers.
